North Lochs Community Association photo competition

Calling all local photographers!!!

To celebrate the redecoration of the Foyer area of the Hall the Community Association
are launching a photo competition! A winning picture from each of the five villages;
Achmore, Leurbost, Crossbost, Ranish and Grimshader will be printed, framed and put
on display in the foyer area of the Hall. It is hoped that the top twelve will feature in a
fundraising calendar for 2023.

Prizes:
 £25 voucher and picture on display for five winners; picture of each of the
villages listed above
 £15 voucher for the seven additional pictures which will feature in the calendar.

Digital criteria:
If possible, submissions must:
 All images (from both digital cameras and smartphones) must be high resolution
and must be a JPEG file, no less than compression 7 (medium). Maximum file size
is 10MB.
 Landscape orientation (portrait will be accepted but may not fit in the calendar)
 A minimum 1024 px longest side at least 150 dpi
 Do not include your name in the picture (i.e in the frame or in the picture itself)
or in the caption or title of the image. These images will not be eligible.
 Screenshots will also not be accepted, original digital photographs only.
 Images can be in colour or in black and white.
 Original files of photographs need to be sent to North Lochs Community
Association for entrance into the competition to allow for best possible
reproduction.

Entrants have until 5pm on Friday the 2nd of September 2022 to submit their
pictures, via email to [email protected]. No late entries will be accepted.

Questionnaire Update

You may be aware a questionnaire exercise was completed before Covid-19 struck. Although that put the brakes on life in general, NLCA have continued to plan with the information received. As a result, we have created a website which we hope to continue to develop and have begun work to create a warm and inviting area for groups to meet.

We would like your views on the following to help us consider the impact Covid-19 has had on our community and whether we can apply these changes to our vision for the future of the North Lochs Community.
